Excursion to Asia

In October 2013, after three terms of research and preparations, the course Artistic Materials and Production in Globalization traveled to Thailand, Vietnam, Hong Kong and South China, to visit production places for contemporary art. The focus was on places, where international artists realize or commission artworks for international exhibitions. The group documented the workshops, talked to the managers, employees and/or artists present and asked about communication, decision making and problems of translation. A travel blog was published online and publication about globalized production is in the making.
