true swamp (a running system)
Birdhouses out of red plastic are mounted on silhouetted black and white images of gnarly trunks. The birdhouses are built after the iconic architecture of the Californian Case Study Houses and the material is PVC as used in photo laboratories. The photos are from virus-infected trees planted by Carl von Linné at the Botanical Garden in Uppsala. Both elements share the use of photographic materials and technology, as a technical attempt to preserve a condition.
